I loved Ten Rings, so did the critics, so did the audience.
I love diversity, and I was looking forward to phase 4 of Marvel and looking forward to Eternals.
I was supposed to see it on IMAX but for the first time in my life they cancelled the tickets due to some licensing issue and I had to watch it in a regular theatre.
Because of that I didn't see it was a 3d version.
So the movie started, with 3rd glasses, I couldn't see anything, they filmed those early fight scenes in the dark? dusk? and it came across, especially with 3d glasses on top of it, like some old movie everyone made fun of.
Then the came a lot of backstory, it went on too long and I was getting restless for more action. Then suddenly we have a dead leader and they are mourning her but I'm like "I barely know who she is" and I'm super confused as to why I am supposed to care.
Angelina Jolie, one of my favorite actresses of all time, looks and acts like a someone who lost their marbles, she looks old and doddery but apparently can do some back flips and almost kill everyone. But throughout the film her lines are terrible and she was a given a super boring character.
I liked some things sure, some of the other characters were cool, some were funny. The irish kid was super depressing.
Then later for some bizarre reason we have a celestial trying to give birth to another celestial using the earth 3s billions of people. But doesn't want the eternals to interfere, not even to stop Thanos ( a deviant) from ruining their plans.
idk there are lots of reviews that go into better detail as to the issues, most of which is the script writing, written by someone who I am think thought they were writing a DC superman movie.
