I'd have to say the Bad Batch post Order 66 is showing a lot more wear and tear. I'd say even if we allow Crosshairs into the fight the sloppy tactics and poor discipline the Batch has been showing as of late would lead them to get owned by Delta squad.
I actually think the break down of the Batch (most obviously seen in Wrecker who I'm pretty sure has traumatic brain injury messing around with his misfiring chip) is actually an intentional part of the plot of Bad Batch. Rex was I believe an exceptionally if not uniquely resilient Clone, who also was rendered chipless. I'm wondering if his lack of chip somehow prevented the what I'm seeing as degeneration facing the Batch ... which is probably a a part of the story of the Empire's phase out of the Clones.
That said, I hope they keep it together long enough to see the show revive the lost arc where Boba Fett runs with Cad Bane, gets disabused of Bane's methodology, and then makes his name in THAT SCENE (thanks Bossk!) in full animation (canonical animatics is weird). I can see the Batch somehow getting involved there and there'd be some pretty cool old clones connecting with someone who is part of their legacy stuff to give such an arc she weight.
Heck, Cody could probably take down the Batch if had the resources and planning time. I sorta thought Bad Batch was going to be more like the old A Team show with Cody tracking the fugtives with Clones geared as Stormtroopers instead of Crosshairs. That's the problem with a group who's core tactic is unconventional risks and gambling on improvisation, sometimes luck just runs out.
I think the Batch show is really good, but I would really like to see some good old republic and republic age content. We have little to no visual media with clone commandoes (cannon at least), and we could really use some shows or content about the old republic. Don't get me wrong, I like the newer stuff, but we're getting so much post-order 66 content that I'd like to see some older stuff.
especially when you're a commando cloned from one of the greatest bounty hunters of all time, trained by mandolorian mercenaries, and equipped with laserproof and lightsaber-proof armor. Just sayin'

I thought Delta Squad had been brought back into the current canon, when the video games were remastered. We won't be seeing new books or anything but I thought the story committee or whatever were like, yeah, they happened.
I doubt we'll be seeing "old republic" KOTOR type stuff, I think I heard there's some sort of licensing limbo stuff there that kinda makes that part of Star Wars sort of in limbo. The High Republic is the current Disney/Lucas intiititve to cover "new past" -- I think it's set like a century or two before the prequels. It sounds sort of interesting, but I don't have the time myself to track down the novels and comics, but I wouldn't mind seeing cartoon if they go that way.
I'm really "meh" on Bad Batch. I think the soft pilot in season 7 was actually better done. But I've also noticed Clone Wars and Rebels also needed a season to get their footing too. I just didn't care for them splitting off Crosshairs in the premier. I mean, it makes sense, but I'd rather they were just the intact unit (I think the fact that their one clone down might be part of why they've gone from elite team to sorta a band of screwups, I mean no longer being supported by a galactic military organization is probably a factor too) getting chased around by Cody, who's milking his "commander who _almost_ took out Obi Wan" cred for plum assignments like hunting the Bad Batch.

Yeah, I think Crosshair was kind of too dark to be on the team with or without chip malfunctions. I loved the pilot episode of bad batch, because it had a really good order 66 scene. I think my only longterm problem with the show might be that the clone wars had about 4 episode sections where they could do one story arc, then hop to another. since Bad Batch is only following one group of clones, it might be harder to do it well. But maybe that's just me.

I think what you said here is pretty much dead on MidnightPlat, but the main reason I love Delta Squad and Omega squad is because there are clone commando books based off the games (I know, I know, not everyone likes reading), but they were some of the best star wars books ive ever read

I think the Thrawn trilogy books are always going to be my favorite Star Wars books (though all the other Thrawn books are great, too).

Yeah, I've been interested in reading Zahn's new Thrawn novels. I thought it was really cool they got the guy who created the character (and arguably the old Extended Universe) and gave him a chance to adapt the character to the new canon, and that he was interested in doing it. Sorta curious what he thought about the Rebels arc. and if he's involved in future use of the characters (he's been name dropped in Mando, by Ahsoka no less ... so any time now).
There were rumors Benedict Cumberbacbh was going to be typecast. Some folks think there may have been discussions, but Cumberbach in the press has actually addressed it with was "I don't want to spend fours a shoot being painted blue."

Who do you think would win in a fight between Delta Squadron (from Star Wars: Republic Commando) and the Bad Batch (minus Echo), and why?
Bad Batch is great and all, but against clone commandos, they would get smacked. I guess it depends on the situation tho
