Have any times you want to share where the dice failed the party at the WORST possible moment? Or when the dice just refused to give any good rolls? Tell us all about it! I'll start:
One night when me and my friends were playing D&D, I wanted to show off a new d20 I got. It was a pale blue with gold-painted numbers and edges. We all thought it was pretty cool. There was only one problem: The dice didn't roll above a 4 for the entire game! We all thought it was cursed!
Later in the game, I accidentally poked my finger on my friend's chipped d8. I got some blood on the dice on accident, and it rolled its first natural 20 immediately after. I then proceeded to put the die in its own individual bag, and locked it in my cupboard so it would never see the light of day again. That incident with the 'cursed' d20 freaks us out to this day.

one time, my party was having their first encounter with cryovain, the white dragon. the first hit, 1. the party. was level. ONE! they needed to do 10 damage to make cryovain flee, and guess who was next in order after the rogue? CRYOVAIN. i decided to make him burrow into the looses soil in the front of gnomengarde instead of attacking, for i am a benevolent god.
