The Eastern Isle is mostly uninhabited due to its intense weather patterns. One day could be a blistering heat wave, the next a disastrous thunderstorm. It wasn’t always like this. Back in the day, many civilizations populated the area, and there ruins still do to this day. The intense climate prevents extended exploration however, but that’s where the Eastern Cove Fight and Inn comes in. Located in a sea cove near the start of the Isle, this is known as the final rest point and expeditions are often led by staff, making it the perfect place to stay for archaeological research. And for the more 'active' guests, they also hold daily fights in the Colosseum of Nei, a restored ruin located near the Cove.

6. You can join Expeditions once the opportunity presents itself. They have their own rules listed below.
7. Don't worry about death.

Staff
Mawl (Inn Owner) - Mawl is an amethyst Dragonborn known for his feats as a foot soldier of the Northern Waste Army, but nowadays he runs his grandfather's old business in his retirement. Staff respect him enough not to point out his irresponsibility with money, as he makes many needless impulse buys to quote on quote 'improve' the East Cove's dining.
Cerberus (Bartender) - Cerberus is a Tiefling with a lot of nature elements, such as his green skin, stag horns, and leaf-like tail. He has a passion for gardening and collecting artifacts from the ruins, hence why he has his classic Kraken Crown, a cap made of wreathing tentacles that he uses like extra limbs. While no one openly admits it, he is more of a boss then Mawl and takes care of most of the minor jobs and finance. He is happy to strike conversation, though his lack of a tongue makes it difficult.
Sylvan (Head Chef) - Sylvan doesn't meet with guests often, but when he does, it is quite clear that he is a werewolf, from his ripped clothing to canines too sharp for a Tabaxi, the signs are quite obvious. This doesn't stop regulars from hanging out with him, however, as they see him as a friend. As a Cleric of the goddess of the hunt, Sylvan works to keep the local animal populations from growing too big or too small, and serve those creatures he hunted as the meat.
Ternikus (Gladiator) - Ternikus loves to partake in battle, going to extreme lengths to do so, even outside the Colosseum. This short gnome (even by gnome standards) refuses to fight in the light as he has 'sensitive skin', but will still pick one. Whether or not he works here is left to mystery, but he can often be found at the bar drinking an absurd amount.
DRAKE (Referee/Transporter) - DRAKE is a robotic Tiefling who, during fights, makes sure it doesn't harm spectators. When he isn't working as a referee, he can be seen carrying barrels and crates across the Inn, a task no one asked him to do. Not much else to say about him. He hardly interacts with guests.
The Barbarian (Security) - The Barbarian is a sentient gorilla with blood red fur. He understands common grammar, but likes to refer to himself in third person as he believes it makes him seem menacing. He will make sure you follow the rules, else he'll throw you to the sea.
Expedition Rules
Expeditions happen once a week, with 1-3 people at a time. Those who join will be invited to a PM where a sort of One-shot will happen. They will be accompanied by one of the staff members. At the end of the expedition, each player will get a reward, whether it be a magic item or something specific to the character. There may be a possibility of death in specific Expeditions.
Cerberus greets you from the side bar with one of the tentacles as you enter the mouth of the cave, pillars of ancient stone holding it open, as a bustle of fighting and drinks and overall excitement fills the air.

Cerberus, the bartender, pulls a seed out of their pocket and throws it. It sprouts and becomes a humanoid flower. It then grabs a platter with a glass of water and walks it over to you, carrying it over its head petals.

It isn't exactly slimy, and the suction cups are mostly dry, so they don't stick to your hand. It retracts and reaches for a bottle of wine as Ternikus the gladiator walks in. Keep in mind, he hasn't ordered anything yet.
