Hey, everyone! Now, hang onto your DM screens because this is gonna hit a little different.
Like a lot of DMs, I was always in need of enemy minis for my encounters. Instead of continuously ordering tons of them online, I started buying bags of gummies on the way to my sessions and letting my players eat their kills. I also thought the fact that they looked like little creatures was a hoot. They made hauling enemies around pretty easy, and before long I had a significant variety of "monsters" to choose from tucked inside my DM bag.
The idea kinda exploded on me, and my players began insisting I use gummies all the time – save the odd boss, of course. And because I always seem to zag where others are zigging, I decided to explore the idea of turning them into minis that would look more like the real thing, be more organized, less of a mess, and safer to handle.
Enter Tabletop Candy Company's flagship product, Gobz™ Stands. They're injected-molded bases made with food safe silicon, and you can pinch almost any gummy into them. I think they make the battlemat look outrageously cool, and most folks I play with really like gummies. I'm looking into producing a number of products related to this idea, including fantasy-themed molds for homemade recipes as well as a line of my own creatures. There's also a game in the works, but that's still down the road.
That's it! If you're curious, interested or simply gobsmacked at the whole concept check out our website. If you do and you're using a desktop display, excellent – there's a little silly fun to be had.
