Can an artificer armorer make their thunder gauntlet or lightning launcher their pact/hex weapon?
*Edit for context:
I am thinking of a really dumb but fun multiclass of Artificer Armorer 3, Fighter Battle Master 3, Wizard Bladesinger 3, Paladin Oath of (Anything really) 6, and Hexblade Warlock 5. Stacking punchy smites and lots of free cantrips.
So, here's the tricky thing about Pact of the Blade... the wording of the ability says that you can turn a Magic Weapon into your pact weapon, whereas an Armorer's Lightning Launcher is considered to be a Simple Ranged Weapon and nothing in its description says outright that it's a Magic Weapon.
That said... I mean, it is magic. It shoots lightning. Even if it's not, all you need to do is attach an Infusion to it and it's considered a Magic Weapon. I think the detail in the Pact of the Blade about Magic Weapons is only used because the Pact Weapon can already just be any mundane weapon, and you would only need special accommodations for Magic Weapons. A very nitpicky DM might be more demanding about it, but for the most part I think you should be able to accomplish what you're going for without any trouble.
