Question in the title. Are the thunder gauntlets of the Armorer Gaurdian considered unarmed strikes for such purposes (unarmed fighting styles, and this tattoo)? If not, would ypu allow so at your table? Since it would be really cool to reflavouer the tattoo's activation to be similar to the infiltrator electricty thing.
Fair enough. My reasoning was that if you wear boxing gloves, or knuckle rings, you still are punching. But that doesn't make sense in D&D terms. Also yeah it is basically a simple +1 and a long range. But my table does allow booming blade with shadow blade and these gauntlets, so i will check with them.
As a bonus action, you can empower the tattoo for 1 minute. For the duration, each of your melee attacks with a weapon or an unarmed strike can reach a target up to 15 feet away from you, as inky tendrils launch toward the target. In addition, your melee attacks deal an extra 1d6 force damage on a hit.
you can’t use the magical strikes feature but you can use the eldritch maul feature.
