So by the wording it looks like you can, but I am seeking clarification...
As an action, you can focus on the tool to channel your creative forces. Choose a cantrip that you don't know from any class list. For 8 hours, you can cast that cantrip, and it counts as an artificer cantrip for you. Once this property is used, it can't be used again until the next dawn.
So the wording above suggests you would know about a cantrip that can be case, and by channeling creative forces you use magic to be able to infuse that cantrip into the tool to use for up to eight hours... and you cannot 're-channel' creative forces to do this again.... however when you can 're-channel' you could choose a different cantrip? correct??
Yes the choice of cantrip is part of the action. If it had to be the same cantrip it would say something like "Choose a cantrip you don't know from any class list. As an action you can focus on the tool to enable you to cast that cantrip for 8 hours". It would also be a little odd, if you can cast a (single) cantrip for 8 hours every day iy may as well just allow you add that cantrip to your spells known.
