So whats more terrifying than being charged by a brown bear? I don't know, maybe that bear wearing magical armor that allows it to shoot beams of lightning from its chest. (Because when in doubt add a bear into the equation)

This insane ramble is about the fact that Arcane armor stating that the armor expands to shape the user. the way i see its meant for that moment you find a goblin wearing plate armor and your a goliath it obviously isn't going to fit, until you add some magic into the mix.  

So whats yalls opinion on the druid wildshaping into a bear with armor, with the obvious restriction of having no metal armor (Big draw back)

Just do the same trick on barding.

Yes but someone has to equip it to you, no way your getting that on while in bear form. Plus heavy armor takes 10 minutes to don, you aint gonna get that off mid battle
