I'm making a character for tomb of annihilation till level 11 and it's a artificer but I dont know if I should go full artificer or if I should add fight, and what subclasses I should choose?
Which subclass(es) you should choose really depends on your style. Battlesmith is good for the pet type of fighting. Armourer is really good for basically becoming a Fighter with the ability to create gadgets. Artillerist has a cannon to shoot with. It really depends on your style.
Similarly with your thoughts of multiclassing. I'm generally against multiclassing, but if you want to do it, it really depends on what your style and Artificer subclass is. If you're an Armourer, I'd only go one or two levels into Fighter for Action Surge and Second Wind, maybe three for a subclass. If you're a Battlesmith, I might go for 5 for the Extra Attack.
Personally, I would stay straight with Artificers. You're losing high end features with every level you take in a different class, and they're the more.interesting and flavourful features as well. Do what you like, but I think a straight Artificer is best.
