I guess we can assume at this point that they won’t be implementing creating an arcane firearm into the character sheet. Do you think they were ever working on it? Considering it’s purchased content, aren’t they obligated to offer it?

Yeah, don’t expect that to happen. If you haven’t already you can use a custom action to help roll the extra damage quicker
