My current character has a distinct witch-y flavor to her, and my DM said I could use Replicate Magic Item to make a Broom of Flying. This worked out fine for a while, but I find myself clueless now that I have access to the class on D&D Beyond rather than a paper sheet.
I think if you make a custom item and make it "Common" it should appear on the Artificer Replicate Magic Item List. Otherwise I don't think you can.

Can you not just add the magic item you want to your inventory, and then leave one of your infusions unused? As long as you know it's infused and don't go over your infusion limit then it should be fine.
Sadly there's no way to really manipulate class features in D&D Beyond homebrew, and infusions in particular are likely very much hardcoded.
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.

I settled on setting an attunement slot as filled and customizing the broom’s name to signify that it’s an infusion.
it would be nice to have an answer to this. thanks for starting the conversation
