From what I'm reading, it's +4 + every 1 increase in your proficiency bonus. Since you can get the homunculus at level 2 (PB=2), it starts at +4. When you hit PB=3, that kicks up to +5 and so on.
Is this the correct read? When I google around for an answer, I see some responses which say it's your spell attack modifier. At level 9, my artificer's spell attack is +9 for example, but if I'm reading the homunculus +hit correctly it's at +6 (+4 base, +2 due to PB=4).
Might of the Master. The following numbers increase by 1 when your proficiency bonus increases by 1: the homunculus's skill and saving throw bonuses (above) and the bonuses to hit and damage of its attack (below).
Actions
Force Strike. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 30 ft., one target you can see. Hit: 1d4 + 2 force damage.
My PB = +4. So does that mean the drone's +hit is 8 and +damage is 6?
The Might of the Master feature was removed entirely, instead the Homunculus Servant's Proficiency Bonus is always equal to the Proficiency Bonus of the Artificer that created it. Homunculus PB always equals your PB.
Force Strike was rewritten as follows:
Force Strike.Ranged Weapon Attack: your spell attack modifier to hit, range 30 ft., one target you can see. Hit: 1d4 + PB force damage.
As an Artificer your spell attack modifier is your INT modifier + your Proficiency Bonus. You don't add the Homunculus's PB again to the attack roll.
So a level 2 Artificer with 16 Intelligence (+3) and a PB of +2 has a spell attack modifier of +5. In this case the Force Strike is +5 to hit and deals 1d4 + 2 force damage.

Okay, so:

When Tasha's Cauldron of Everything was released the Homunculus Servant was changed. The details can be found in the Eberron: Rising from the Last War Errata document.

Damn, wish DnDBeyond updated things with the Errata then. Thanks braintrust; this is a bit easier to digest at least.
