The Abjuration Wizard's Arcane Ward feature does stack Temporary Hit Points, because technically it's considered it's own entity separate from yourself so any temp HP you get is unaffected by it.
Would've been nice if you could stack the temp HP specifically from having two protector cannons out. Not to keep building up or anything, but the one shot from both adding together.
@Gweyr, that could get out of control if it spends a few rounds hanging out in the back with the wizard/sorcerer. This way you are encouraged to keep it refereshing the most frequently damaged players to keep taking the edge off of their damage.
Aid is underrated. Last 8 hours, effects up to 3 targets for those 8 hours, no concentration needed, it increases target's hit point maximum and current hit points increase by 5 at 2nd spell level, 10 at 3rd spell level ....
This is a new health maximum for that 8 hours so can be healed by up to the new maximum when you take damage and not just a once time use like temporary hit points.
Combining that with something that was mentioned earlier. Can a Abjuration WIzard's Arcane Ward benefit from Aide?

How does Arcane Ward interact with temporary hit points and damage resistance that an abjurer might have?
An Arcane Ward is not an extension of the wizard who creates it. It is a magical effect with its own hit points. Any temporary hit points, immunities, or resistances that the wizard has don’t apply to the ward.
The ward takes damage first. Any leftover damage is taken by the wizard and goes through the following game elements in order: (1) any relevant damage immunity, (2) any relevant damage resistance, (3) any temporary hit points, and (4) real hit points.
Aid add health to the Wizard so lets say someone casts a spell level 2 Aid on the Wizard, they would have Hit Point +5 which while it last, is (4) real hit points + 5 so the Aid helps at the end.
Like if i use the ability over a few founds will the temporary HP keep stacking?
No, they do not. They just refresh every round, following the normal rules for temporary hit points.
Temporary Hit Points don't stack at all, unless a feature specifically states that it does (I don't recall any that do this).

Awesome! Thanks for the confirmation!!

The Abjuration Wizard's Arcane Ward feature does not grant Temporary Hit Points though.
It uses a similar mechanic for the ward, but sidesteps the issue by not using the rules for Temporary Hit Points.

Huh, you're right. For some reason my brain has been adding the word "temporary" every time I've been reading that feature...
I think it should work with Aid as that increases your hit points:

My meaning was can you cast Aid on the ward, since it has hit points.
How would you target the Ward? From the Aid Spell
The ward not a creature, just a magical shield.
