This may have been asked before (if so, I couldn't find it) or maybe I just missed something but...
RAW says, "Whenever you finish a long rest, you can touch a non-magical object and imbue it with one of your artificer infusions, turning it into a magic item" and "You can infuse more than one nonmagical object at the end of a long rest".
I take that to mean you can only infuse items immediately after you finish a long rest. Am I correct in this? Or is it meant to be "per long rest". It would be super nice to be able to switch to "slippers of spider-climbing" when that is needed, rather than have to plan in advance.

Can I get your feeling on this? Thanks!
It's basically at the end of a long rest. So it's counted as part of the long rest.
Infusions are done as soon as the long rest ends. They can't be held till later in the day.
