As a reanimator artificer, your reanimated companion is sentenced to a (un)life of torment and misery. They get hurt, then electrocuted back to health, and hurt again. One lucky day, they are finally "killed" only to be immediately resurrected the following round by their ruthless master. That master has two other minions: A familiar gained through the Familiar Trainer origin feat, and a homunculus servant. He makes those three do all his dirty work.
One day, the three minions team up and abduct their master. He has to build these three replicated items:
Bag of Holding
Necklace of Adaptation
Plate, +1
The three minions stuff him into the bag of holding, then the reanimated companion dons the full plate armor. Now, they travel the countryside adventuring and keeping their "boss" in line. He's relegated to casting Aid on them every day, keeping the reanimated companion healthy with Shocking Grasp, and supplying the familiar with Dragon's Breath (lightning). He basically has to stay in the bag all the time now.
Rules-wise, he can't suffocate because of the necklace of adaptation which allows him to breath even in a vacuum, so running out of air in the bag doesn't matter. The bag provides an amazing amount of defense. In a real pinch, he can always just Magic Item Tinker: Drain Magic Item to instantly eject himself from the bag and take action directly in the real world. The monster just walks around taking the dodge action all the time and being healed by shocking grasp/dragon's breath, and the "trio" goes on grand adventures.
Hilarity ensues.
Eventually at higher levels the reanimated companion upgrades to Elven Chainmail to lose his no-proficiency penalties as well as obtaining an animated shield. It also tries to acquire other defense-boosting items to help it frontline better, but it constantly just dodges whenever it can, forcing the artificer to cast spells through it for offense. The homunculus and the familiar provide necessary backup in those situations.
Obviously this isn't a real serious concept, but it could make for a fun adventurer concept: The mad scientist forced to cow to his minions and serve their adventuring party.
Imagine this going on at level 6:
