I just noticed that the old one was archived on my character sheet, I then went over the dndb changelog, and it seems they forgot about Artificers using this little rascal. The new version is not that good, at all...
If you are talking about the last UA version it was a subclass feature not an infusion so it's power budget is different as was the class structure as a whole. From ERFLW to Tasha it actually got a buff and clearer wording.
No I'm not. Both of them are infusions. The new one loses HP and Channel Magic.
Weird, that last one I can't find. Could you please link it? https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/16926-homunculus This is the only one that turns up now, and it's the one that's linked in the class description.
Linked as in clicking Homunculus not the stat block in the book, that's the one you mentioned.
Ahh that is the homunculus created by the 6th level wizard spell not the infusion. I have not purchased anything off d&d beyond because I'm a hard copy nerd. The newest version is gated behind the Tasha purchase.
It is mildly confusing that you have a creature created by an infusion and one created by a spell that have the same name technically.
Ah then it is bugging because you can't choose the one from Tasha's only the one from the spell. They didn't activate the new version it seems.
They were able to create an Action for the Steel Defender that provides a stat block of sorts in the snippet, but doing so for the Homunculus Servant is probably trickier since it's an infusion.

It's fixed now. The one from Tasha's automatically switched out the old archived one without me having to do it.
