Over the pandemic I got into painting minis and I'm finding that I really enjoy it. Now I'm at the point where I want to start modifying my minis to make them more unique, or to represent my homebrew nonsense.
Do any of you guys know of any good YouTube channels or other resources to help me get started?
Also if you have any tips to share personally, I'd love to hear them.
I don't have any specific advice related to kitbashing, as I've only recently started doing it myself. However, if you haven't tried basing your models, I highly recommend it.
Basing adds a lot of value to minis, and it can give you some practice with manipulating Green Stuff.
There are dozens to kit bashing and conversion videos all over YouTube. I can't think of only one to pinpoint.
If you've watched any painting tutorials, many of them have kit bashing videos.
I just swapped parts on a mini to hold a sword instead of a mace, I clipped the mace off above the hand and drilled a hole in the sword blade for it to fit over the excess mace handle and glued it into place.
