Hey! So I used to paint Warhammer around 10 years ago and about a year ago got into DnD by DMing for some friends. For my last birthday my partner treated me to a model of my favourite monster: the beholder.
I always struggled a little bit with motivation drop-off with painting, so I thought I would post regular WIP updates in hopes to keep up the motivation. So heres my first one, all he has had so far is his undercoat and a rough basecoat on the main body, eyes and spines.
I think it looks good! The fact that you aren't bleeding your colors into the other areas(the whites into the greens and vice versa) is great for a first time painter.
Thank you matey! I am a little poor atm so buying paints 1-3 at a time. So have currently spent the last few says whenever I have a bit of time touching up that definition. I realised the mouth (inside) will be tricky to do and not splash paint on already completed areas so my next plan is to buy the reds (I think a base/shader/highlight) and fully complete this before moving onto the same outside.
