I want to draw some 'magic' pets I made up so my friends have a reference on what they look like in game, any tips?

I recommend finding real pictures of the animals online first and practicing with those :) anatomy really makes a difference and learning to block out basic shapes is super helpful. If the creatures are dragonoid, start with practicing with the red dragon as it’s the easiest to get the hang of. If you’re not a beginner to drawing animals, I recommend trying to just scribble down a random line as your action line and then go from there- it gives you some cool and pretty unique shapes.
