Directly from the backstory section of her character sheet:
She was captured by a small and violent Church of Shar group as a child and witnessed countless horrific acts as a part of their recruitment processes. They would murder, torture, etc., from the prisoners. Others would act as slaves to the members of the Church of Shar. Hope was one of these, a servant made to be perfect in order to keep them happy.
As an adolescent, once she became more aware of her misfortune and the suffering of those around her, she would lay awake at night and pray to any who would hear her to please help her and the other prisoners! Selune eventually heard her pleas and came to her in a vision, appearing as a tiefling to her, explaining that she would give her the strength to fight against her captors.
The next night, she drugged every member of the clergy, and then killed them in the night. She escaped and managed to get her fellow prisoners out as well, but had suffered emotional, mental, and physical abuse for so long that she was forever scarred.
Now she worships as a part of the Church of Selune and devotes herself to her, hoping to eradicate the Church of Shar. She found herself nameless after she left, seeing as she was taken before she knew her own name, and so decided to give herself the human name of Hope.
(constructive criticism is appreciated -- if any of this really makes no sense, please let me know! I'm still pretty new but wanted to incorporate some DnD lore, and of course I want to be accurate!)

Would she be chaotic good since she was a slave with a paladin class.
