Hi all thanks for reading this. I need some help, I'm trying to build a Half orc Half Dwarf but the creator will not allow me to add in the Orc side of my traits any ideas how to do it?
The race doesn't exist, so you would need to build a homebrew race. For the record that is still just a half orc, but if you want to create your own dwarf subrace go ahead.
Slight difference is Half-orc is half human... but thank you for the info. Ill look into how to create.
The rules don't say that it specifically is a human. Could ask DM for dwarf tool proficiency. Maybe replace one half orc trait with a dwarf trait. Discuss to make it work.

As others have said, you could make a homebrew race. In my campaigns, the orcish half overrides the racial abilities of whatever the character is mixed with. For example, we have a half orc, half elf character. She is technically a "half orc" on dndbeyond and did not inherit any elven abilities. Her character, though, RPs her elven half and that could be something you could do for your character as well.
I am not comfortable with the making a whole "new" race. I think I will talk to my DM and see where she thinks my backstory leads the characteristics of this character. Thank you!

No prob.
i hope your char is as fun (or more) as you hoped!

Half Orc is just half Orc.
half elf is just half elf.
they don’t specify what the other half is.
but what it does specify, is that apparently only Orcs and Elves can breed with races other than their own. (Officially and not home brewed)
Dnd beyond does indeed specify that it's half human so do ALL PLAYER HAND BOOKS if you find the more independent books you find their is indeed a racial differences as elf traits show threw in the half orc half elf called abomination that's the literal name of the half race. There is also a differences for half elf half orc and half dwarf half human. dnd beyond doesn't have all the cannon races so it kinda peeves me off

You are right dnd beyond does specify because if you look in the physical books there's an fing difference. Half orc half elf is called abomination
Dwarf and elf is a dwelf. Halfling and gnome is a thing, dark and orc is a thing. THERE ARE 3 DIFFRENT GNOME RACES AND 5 DIFFRNR DWARF RACES AND 4 DIFFERENT ORC RACES PLAYABLE TOO BUT DND BEYOND has none of it.

Dnd beyond detail sheet specifically says their half orc are half humans. Even the dnd physical 5e books say there. Is. A. Difference.
Daeros Dragonspear, who is referenced in the Sword Coast Adventurers Guide, built Dragonspear Castle, which is in the same sourcebook and Hoard of The Dragon Queen, was a half-dwarf.
Build the character as you wish. He/she can be short, but stout with orc grey or green skin and tusks or anything you want! Basically, just read the description of a dwarf and an orc, pick and choose which traits you want. I would want it to be an interesting combination of the most odd traits together, but maybe that's just me.
Half dwarf, half orc...a "dorc?" lol :)
