Hello all I am currently playing a wood elf dance bard with the following stats 8 str 16 dex 14 con 8 int 10 wis 17 cha.
For some added context I view them as a dancer/boxer in combat. I know using the melee attack all the time is unoptimal but it is fun to me. I imagine them using the fancy footwork of their dance with getting some punches in while supporting their allies with their spells.
I am torn between what feat to pick but I have narrowed it down to a couple of options.
Speedy +1 dex for more mobility when dancing my allies around and giving me more safety from enemies opportunity attacks. Would also help with the theme of being hard to pin down.
Grappler +1 dex for full mobility when dancing my allies. Which will help with positioning my all martial allies.
Inspiring leader +1 Cha temp hit points for whole party is good. Is simply good.
Shadow touched +1 cha probably would grab silent image. Charisma increase is good and I like illusions and stealth a bit too probably my least favorite option.
Fey touched + 1 cha probably would grab heroism. Misty step is good and charisma increase.
If anyone has any other thematic feats to suggest please let me know.
One thing to keep in mind about the Grappler feat is that Dance Bard's don't get the ability to use their dexterity for grapples like Monks do, so your ability to grapple is going to be pretty weak.
I would go with Speedy at level 4. The extra speed is really nice, and being able to dart in, kick them in the mouth, and get out is really nice.
At level 8, I'd probably take War Caster to make help make sure you don't lose concentration on your spells since you will spend a lot of time in Melee.
At 12, your best pick would probably be Charger, for that extra 1d8 damage when you run up to the enemy before punching him silly. This would also up your Dexterity to 18(+4).
If you make it to level 16, I'd suggest you simply take a +2 to either your Dexterity or Charisma to it out. Which one to take would just depend on how things are going with your party.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for any advice.
Speedy is a great choice, my Dance Bard has it.
