Hey. I know that like me, many of the other folks that play a bard will choose Prestidigitation as one of the starting cantrips. That cantrip is very handy because it allows you to do a number of helpful things like clean your clothes, light and extinguish candles at will, flavor food and drink and even heat or cool the items to suit your taste. But I found Heward's Handy Spice Pouch in one of the extended books, which is a cousin to Heward's Handy Haversack, and a very useful item for any character that doesn't have the aforementioned cantrip. And even though I have the cantrip, I just have to pick up one of these, you know, ... just for flavor.

Prestidigitation will not flavour food, but it does everything else. But that Spice Pouch is a must have item for anyone who has a proficiency in Cooking Utensils or takes the Chef Feat.
i had fun with a chef background character who had to have 2 of them, complaining that 10 spices a day just wasn't enough
Need at least 11.
11 Herbs and Spices works perfectly.

I'm pretty sure this one should be on "DMDADJOKES". Puntastic.

"You chill or warm or flavor up to one cubic foot of nonliving material for 1 hour." - yes you can - unless you consume living creatures.
