Makes no sense. So what’s it’s CR while inhabited? This is poor form and needs to be fixed. It’s like listing a set of armor when it’s not animated as a monster.
In the printed stat block found in Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, the Sacred Statue has no listed CR. However, the D&D Beyond database isn't set up to omit the CR field (the sacred statue is one of very few stat blocks with no CR), so it lists CR 0 instead.
CR 0 Vs no CR aside, this is correct from the stat block; the Sacred Statue is intended to be used in conjunction with the Eidolon and as such uses the CR of the Eidolon when possessed by it.
This monster is listed a CR0, worth 10xp.
It has no CR in the book, from what I'm seeing, so it carried over.

Old school knowledge / without all the baggage
No it's not. It only animates when it's inhabited by an eidolon.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
