Hi everyone, new player here. I'm building a moon druid, and I'd like to use the feat mage initiate to benefit from mage armor but it doesn't appear as an option for me! I have purchased the phb already. Thanks for reading!
Did you select the "Magic Initiate" feat? What you need to do is select one of the "Magic Initiate (class)" feats, where (class) is the spellcasting class you're picking for the feat.

Thank you for replying. I have indeed attempted to find the mage armor spell in wizard and the all the rest. I shows me mage hand but not mage armor..
Ahh, I see. The first 2 dropdowns are for the cantrips. The 3rd dropdown is for the 1st-level spell. That one is where you'll find Mage Armor.

Yeap - Mage Hand is a Cantrip - you're looking in the wrong list.
