Hi all,
I'm trying to create a homebrew race that gains access to a homebrew cantrip. I thought this was done as follows:
Racial Trait (Granted) -> Spells -> Homebrew Spell
Spell -> Consumes Spell Slot (No), Counts as Known Spell (Yes), Always Prepared (Yes). [All other options blank]
I can't currently identify what is preventing this spell from appearing on this character - any ideas?
I have a copy of Drow, and it has Counts as Known Spell and Always Prepared as [blank]. See if that helps.
And as always make sure to Save the racial trait and then Save Changes for the race, and possibly wait 20 minutes for stuff to sync.
Helpful rewriter of Japanese->English translation and delver into software codebases (she/e/they)
That did it! Goodness knows why though!
For whatever reason, I think those 2 fields are more tied to subclasses than races.
Part of why it's safest to make a homebrew copy of the kind of thing with the kinds of options you want, if available, then just edit them.
