It looks like you're talking about the public homebrew Master Botanist feat, which is not official content. I briefly added it to my collection, and it does look like the original author of the feat hard-coded in a +5 bonus to all ability checks (Bonus > Ability Checks > Fixed Value: 5). If you're interested in using that feat specifically, you might consider creating your own homebrew feat from scratch, but putting the appropriate modifiers in!

I was playing around with some of the feats and when I checked my character sheet I had bonuses to all my skills even those where it wasn't relevant.
