It's a too bad, too late thing. When you buy an item from a store, you don't get a refund of the difference if that item later goes on sale. You could go and do an exchange to get the difference, but you have to actually do that - it's not automatic. Beyond operates on the same principle (even with preorders). You could email support and ask about a refund. They might give it to you, but I don't know if they have a policy that specifically addresses this issue as most stores would.

There is a sale while some are waiting for Van Richten's guide that was preordered.
Can we benefit from the sale, as in: can it be applied as we don't have the book yet ?
I understand that it might not apply for regular purchase but this is a case of a preordered book.
Thanx.
The discount price shows up when you goto the market place.
If you go to your Sources tab and click on the book it will show the price with 25% discount.
You are right, I see the marketing picture with the 25% saving.
The price I paid was before the sale.
Does it mean a discount has been applied retroactively or is it just a: too bad, too late thing ?
If it is, I'll just adjust my preorders buying to the last day instead of the hype of the first week.
