I have recently been trying to make a character with the faction agent background, but the suggested characteristics are always the same as the acolytes, no matter how many times I reload the page or change back and forth between different backgrounds.
That's because the Faction Agent's suggested characteristics are the same as the Acolyte's. It says so in the source book (SCAG) - quoted below. They've done this for a number of different backgrounds. Mercenary Veteran = Soldier. Courtier = Guild Artisan. Urban Bounty Hunter = Criminal/Spy. etc..
Faction Agent(https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/scag/backgrounds#FeatureSafeHaven) Suggested Characteristics Use the tables for the acolyte background in the Player’s Handbook as the basis for your traits and motivations, modifying the entries when appropriate to suit your identity as a faction agent. (For instance, consider the words “faith” and “faction” to be interchangeable.)
Your bond might be associated with other members of your faction, or a location or an object that is important to your faction. The ideal you strive for is probably in keeping with the tenets and principles of your faction, but might be more personal in nature.

Anyone else having similar issues?
