I changed my character's name for a moment to see how another name would look on them and now I can't change it anymore. Whenever I go to edit the name it changes it back to the one I tested when I go to the character sheet after changing the name.
Sometimes stuff typed into a textbox doesn't fully "save" until you hit Tab to move on, or edit something else on the same page. Typing the name into the box and then immediately clicking on the character sheet link may not give it time to save the information.

AlumniDo you have any extensions that may be interfering? Beyond20, AboveVTT, ad-blockers, VPNs, etc.?
You might also try clearing your cache.
No extensions and apparently eventually it worked but had to do it quite many times, so it's annoying
