So, I just bought the artificers initiative in order for me to be able to use an artificer, but in the character creator it didnt work, why is that?

D&D Beyond StaffArtificer Initiate is a feat; it doesn't grant access to the artificer class. If you purchase any individual artificer subclass, or either the full Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything or Eberron: Rising from the Last War sourcebooks, you will gain access to the artificer.
