While the feat allows you to add 1st level spells, no spells beyond 1st level show up on the add list, in spite of the feat stating you can add spells up to half your total level. Am I missing something?
The first 2 dropdowns are for the 2 ritual spells you get when you first take the feat. The third dropdown will let you select from ritual spells up to half your character level (rounded up), and once you pick a spell from that dropdown, it'll add the spell below that dropdown so that you can select another one. (Of course, only select spells as your DM lets you acquire them in the campaign, honor system and all.)
The first two spells you learn with the feat must be 1st level spells. It's the rest that can be half your level. You've probably just not selected the first two yet.
Interesting note, the third dropdown always exists, and you can actually leave the first 2 unselected. (I unselected the first 2 when my PC with Ritual Caster (Wizard) took a level of Wizard, so that she'd have the 1st level ritual spells just in her Wizard spellbook and not in the "ritual" book, if that makes sense?)

Given that you can ritual cast any spell you have in your spellbook as a wizard, I’m not sure why you’d even need a ritual book, let alone the ritual caster feat.

If you've only gone a 1 level dip into Wizard (as naruhoodie has implied they've done) - you're not going to be able to scribe any spell higher than 1st into your spellbook. With Ritual Caster you could still learn up to 9th level ritual spells with it because it's based on character level - not Wizard level.
