I hope saying that I have a duplicate of Magic Initiate doesn't break any rule, it's just for private use and basically testing. In any case, I don't know if this happens with the official version of Magic Initiate, but it might happen.
I have a Rogue with Ice Knife, it adds my Intelligence modifier + proficiency to hit. Then I added this homebrew feat that is an exact duplicate of Magic Initiate (Sorcerer), and I used it to add Ice Knife as the level 1 spell, as it's from a sorcerer, it should be used with my Charisma modifier, and in fact, it shows up like that in the spell sheet, the button reads the correct number. But when I cast the Magic Initiate version, it calculates the final result using my Intelligence modifier, just like the original spell I had.
Curious thing is that when I remove my original Ice Knife spell, and leave only the Magic Initiate version, it works perfectly as it's supposed to, with the Charisma modifier.
I don't know if the official version of Magic Initiate has the same bug, but I report it just in case.
You are correct, I didn't think it could be that. It is the Beyond20 chrome extension that I use to display the rolls in roll20, and it only happens when the "Add Quick Roll areas" option is enabled on that extension. Well, it's still a bug, but from the extension, I will try to report the bug to the developer. Thanks!!

Here's a GIF of the bug:
Looks like you're using an extension -- try without the extension and see what happens.
