This morning I changed one of my characters, removing a level of rogue and adding a level of wizard. The character was 5th level, so he changed to 4th level rogue and 1st level wizard. His proficiency bonus before the change was +3, but after the change, it shows on the character sheet as +2 - which is wrong, it should still be +3. I thought I should mention this as others may be having the same issue, and I'd like it to be fixed.

Thank you.
I believe you use xp not milestone for level up?
When you level down, your xp will go down, making you a 4th level character. You can still add another level after, which would give you that class but since the xp isn't correct it would still count you as 4th level.
I mean it could be something else but of the top of my head that's what i thought about
Thanks, that’s probably it. I didn’t notice that it reduced my XP, but that makes sense, although when I added the rogue level back my proficiency bonus was correct again. I’ll play with it some more.
I know it's nearly a year late but this might help anyone looking at this thread - Had this issue while multiclassing Ranger Level 4/Sorcerer Level 1 - If you click on your character icon then manage XP - you can change the XP to 6500 (For 5th Level) and it'll give you the +3 proficiency bonus while still keeping your multiclassed levels the same. You'll probably just have to keep manually changing the XP each time you level up
