I had been running a character with pen and paper for a while, but decided to convert to this platform. As such the character was already level 12. When adding spells to the spellbook, polymorph (a signature spell for me) was not on the list of available spells to add. (This was tried directly on the character view itself, the spell was still able to be looked up on the master list)
Here is what I was able to test out:
Wizardlevel < 7 cannot find spell because it is unavailable before then (OK)
Wizard level 7-9 regardless of subclass can add polymorph (OK)
Wizard level 10+ on subclass other than School of Transfiguration (ie. Abjurer, evocation etc) can add polymorph (OK).
Wizard lvl 10+ in school of Transfiguration cannot add polymorph -not even showing as a spell to add (BUG)
I am pretty sure this has to do with the Transfiguration schools level 10 trait which "adds polymorph if it isn't already known" but it is not doing this correctly. Additionally, a workaround I found (for now) was adding the spell to the spellbook BEFORE leveling up past 10. In that case it stays in the book and is not removed. This doesn't accurately portray how MY character learned it but the end result is the same.
I know this is an edge case (not many people start above level 10 and even less as a transmutation wizard) but I thought I'd bring it up all the same. Thanks for your time.
When you level up to level 10, you gain the shapechanger ability that appears under the limited use section of the character sheet. If you expand this it shows the shapechanger ability to be the polymorph spell.
But as mentioned by the OP, it has been removed from the spell list, and doesn't get added to the spell book as the description says. This stops the wizard being able to cast polymorph normally using a spell slot if they wish.

Just to add to the above.
