This probably applies to other mobile app versions as well, but I have only personally used the iPad version.
First, a question: Why is there no capability to change the font size for the mobile app? It is hard for me to read without using a magnifying glass or zooming in with the iPad's zooming functionality, which while it works, is inconvenient through the course of a gaming session.
There used to be a workaround in the app, by using the "View in Browser" button. However, maybe six months ago this had removed some of its original functionality in that the web page had allowed the user to resize the display. So, that become even less useful than the default app as it opens up a browser window that is even smaller than the app view. That goes backwards in progression.
My workaround is to use a web browser while gaming. When viewing on PC, a page stays at whatever size I zoom it to. However, for some reason when viewing a web page version of anything for D&D Beyond on an iPad has trouble if zoomed in and has to be resized or it loses data from the current view. That is really annoying during hours of play, May gaming group plays for 6 or 7 hours per session, and I cannot tell you how much time I have personally wasted just by messing with a refreshing view. Why does it do that? It really, really sucks and has seriosly caused me to play something -- anything -- other than D&D.
