I have created a Forge Adept subclass for Artificer based on "Exploring Eberron" sourcebook. This subclass has Armor of Agathys and Banishing Smite in its subclass extended spell list (both from PHB). But when I create character using this subclass I can't see this spells in my spell list. I do have PHB bought and I'm using this subclass for myself only. Is there a way to make it work or I will just have to pretend spells are there?
You need to add always-prepared spells via the Additional Specific Spells box in the subclass's Basic Information.
As a general suggestion, it's good to create a homebrew subclass using another subclass as a template, instead of from scratch; that way you can see how it's built, and it's easier to modify something that already works.

I did exactly what you wrote, using Battle Smith as a template. Battle Smith has Banishing Smite as an additional spell, but when I reused this class it does not work.
I tried with homebrew copy of Battle Smith and it works. And then I changed this copy's Shield to Armor of Agathys and it still works. I don't know what's the difference, but I guess it is possible to make it work somehow.
I disabled subclass in character sheet, then deleted and reapplied spells to homebrew subclass, and enabled subclass in sheet again and it worked. As always, close/reopen method worked. Thanks for help.

Hrm... If you use the straight Battle Smith subclass, does Banishing Smite show up in your spells?
