I equipped an Arcane Propulsion Arm on at 10th level character, it is attuned, but it still isn't showing up as an attack. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?
Hey, found a small bug with the Arcane Propulsion Arm. If you add it to your character in the builder, then go to the character sheet, it's not listed as an action option of any kind for weapons, and the item doesn't provide weapon damage on the items sheet section.
Hello! Actions are not currently available on magic items.

Unfortunately that only applies to spells. And the Arm is defined as a wondrous item, not a weapon, so it isn't defined as a weapon with weapon attack stats that you can display in the Attack section.
What you can do, however, is add a Custom Action, by clicking on the Manage Custom link in the top right of the Actions tab and choosing Weapon for the type. Use Range: Melee, Stat: STR, Die Count: 1, Die Type: 8, Damage Type: Force, Range: 20, Long Range: 60, Activation Type: Action, and check the boxes Proficient and Display As Attack and you'll be set.

its a shame there is no reply to this, and a year later its still not under actions or spells

Not entirely true.
There’s items like prayer beads that show up the spells that can be used by charges in your list of spell actions

or they could just enable home brew non magical items lol, surely it wouldn't be difficult.
but still thank you for the advise, i might do that on the pc's sheet i gave item to and hopefully it helps them
*edit.
i created the item but it only shows the 20 range rather than it being 20/60 like it would on most ranged weapons
*edit 2
changed the range from melee to ranged because it only becomes displayed as reach rather than ranged
