Multiclass issues

For some reason My multiclassed level 5 ranger level 3 cleric cant access 3rd level cleric spells even though I have two 3rd level spell slots available to upcast my level 2s and 1s

That's correct. Read the spellcasting rules for multiclassing carefully. Neither a 5th level ranger nor a 3rd level cleric know 3rd level spells, so you can only use those spell slots for upcasting.

Ohhh that is interesting I had no idea I thought the multiclassing made me a higher level spellcaster which then led me to learn higher spells
