As a wizard, there does not seem to be a way to add more then your max spells know. My character would like to learn a spell from a scroll
Copying a Spell into the Book. When you find a wizard spell of 1st level or higher, you can add it to your spellbook if it is of a spell level you can prepare and if you can spare the time to decipher and copy it.
Copying that spell into your spellbook involves reproducing the basic form of the spell, then deciphering the unique system of notation used by the wizard who wrote it. You must practice the spell until you understand the sounds or gestures required, then transcribe it into your spellbook using your own notation.
For each level of the spell, the process takes 2 hours and costs 50 gp. The cost represents material components you expend as you experiment with the spell to master it, as well as the fine inks you need to record it. Once you have spent this time and money, you can prepare the spell just like your other spells.
And cannot do that because I have maxed out my spells know for my class. There should be a way to learn from the scrolls past your classes basic knowledge, as this is a core feature of Wizard Spell Diversity.
I also have a gripe about not being able to assign spells to a scroll, which makes it very difficult to maintain what spell scrolls you have, but this is not the place for that.

On your character sheet, in the spellcasting section, there is an "Add Spell" subsection. From there, a wizard can add as many spells as it wants.
Likely, for maximum spell known, you are referring to the maximum number of spells a wizard can prepare, and that is equal to your Intelligence modifier + your wizard level.

Those in the picture are Cantrips, and are limited by your wizard level (see Wizard Table).
Ah! I missed that it was a Cantrip, you are right. I should have noticed it. Sorry about that. Thank you so much for the insight.
