Hey yall,

I bought the players handbook (2024) as of an hour ago but i cant seem to make a necromancer wizard

I have a level three wizard yet when i check classes it only shows the abjurer,  diviner, evoker, and illusionist.

I bought the digital version for about 30 dollars and im just confused why i cant make a necromancer.

The Necromancer (School of Necromancy) is only from the 2014 Player's Handbook. It is not featured in the 2024 PHB.

You need the 2014 PHB.

If you're making the character for a campaign that's using DDB, you might be able to get access to it through content sharing. (Requires somebody with the book and somebody with a master subscription.)

If you just want the subclass, you can also potentially make it for yourself with the homebrew tools.

i have the 2014 book and it only gave me the option of evocation

You selected the wrong wizard. You selected the 2024 Wizard ("Core Rules") instead of the 2014 Wizard ("2014 Core Rules").
