I am considering purchasing the hexblade warlock subclass from xanathar's guide to everything. I just wanted to know whether you get the eldritch invocations from xanathar's guide when you purchase a warlock subclass (hexblade in my case).
The invocations are not part of the subclass, so no. Just like you don't get the spells that are associated with a given cleric subclass when you buy that subclass, even if it's in the same book (like anything in the PHB). I think invocations require purchasing the whole book, unfortunately. I think this was brought up when the similar issue of optional features from Tasha's was introduced.

Well, you do for Xanathar's Guide: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/class-forums/warlock/32888-how-do-i-purchase-maddening-hex?comment=6
Presumably, it works the same way for Tasha's Cauldron which came out later.
Thanks for the info, it is very much appreciated.
