I wanted to create this thread to ask if there was a way to stop the checkout page from auto filling my personal details. If this account were to fall into the wrong hands, I would prefer that the person did not have access to my full name and address.
I'm not a mod or DDB developer or anything... but might this be your browser auto-filling that data, and not the site? I do know most (all?) browsers have that feature, and it has nothing to do with the site. By this I mean, you might see this behavior even when the site does not store your data: your browser might be saving the data and filling it for you. Meaning that even if the account falls into the wrong hands, if it is accessed elsewhere (from another browser/computer/device), the data would not autofill, since it resides in your browser/device.
(This might not be the case, it could be the site which is auto-filling... have you checked?)
yeah, I suspected as much at first, however deleting all stored website data off my browser, all the cache data and all cookies did not seem to do the trick. I also logged in with another browser as well as on another computer and all the details auto-filled. It's a bit worrisome that the website does that with no option to delete it.
I can confirm that it's not the browser. An option to not remember your billing details would be nice, but I would also say it's your responsibility to make sure your account is secured.
I agree, it's more a peace of mind kind of thing, the less places on the internet which have all your personal details, the better. And yeah, an option to not remember billing details would be ideal.

Hello everyone,
I wanted to create this thread to ask if there was a way to stop the checkout page from auto filling my personal details. If this account were to fall into the wrong hands, I would prefer that the person did not have access to my full name and address.
Kind Regards,
Lawrie
