It's important to note that the herbalism kit is not considered an artisan's tool, which might be where this issue comes in. If you're granted the opportunity to add any tool, such as with the Tasha's "Customize Your Origin" options or for a background, the herbalism kit shows up for selection (for me, anyway!). But if granted a choice of artisan's tools, such as with the artificer, you won't find the herbalism kit listed there.

When trying to add an Herbalism Kit proficiency to my Warforged through Tasha's, it does not show up. It should appear in that list, right?
