I noticed there was a difference, but only in the situation of a Divine Soul Sorcerer character.
When I select to include "Additional Sorcerer Spells" then this works correctly, however since I am a Divine Soul I also get access to Cleric spells. But the additional spells added to Clerics are not shown on my list of potential spells. I noticed this difference when playing online on Roll20, where there were some spells there I could choose, which I could not choose on the D&D Beyond platform.
I am unsure if this is a bug, or maybe a missing feature only for the Divine Soul, which should also give access to the additional spells on the Cleric list.
The Optional Class Feature introduced in Tasha's, you mean?
Technically, by the book, those Additional Cleric Spells are only made available to you for taking the Cleric class - they aren't specifically added to the Cleric spell list. (Note that Spirit Shroud and Summon Celestialare on the Cleric spell list, being first published in Tasha's.)
But if your DM agrees that those other spells should also be on the Cleric spell list, you can make homebrew copies of the spells and make them Cleric spells. I did that myself with the Additional Wizard Spells for my Arcane Trickster w/Ritual Caster feat.

Thank you for the response. Yes, I did mean the optional class feature.
That is a good work around for getting the spells properly incorporated, and I will likely make use of that approach to get the necessary accesses. Thank you for clarifying this point.
