I just wanted to draw attention to a rather old issue that has yet to be resolved.
It seems that the Purple Dragon Knight's Royal Envoy feature just... automatically gives the player proficiency in persuasion and proficiency in another skill listed. Per the description, it should be only giving one or the other--you have proficiency in persuasion, and if you are already proficient, you get to choose another proficiency from the list it provides.
I was wondering if this is something that might be resolved. DNDBeyond has come far over the past 5 years since the issue was initially presented (As I believe it was originally introduced with DNDBeyond's release in 2017), and I've seen other features elsewhere now that allow you to pick a different proficiency if you are already proficient in something. It just looks like Purple Dragon Knight slipped through the cracks.
