When I get my characters to level 2, the only option I have available is 2014 core rules School of Evocation. I've checked that I have all boxes ticked to allow other content sources etc.
Sounds like you don't own the 2014 Player's Handbook (or anything else that provides subclasses for the 2014 Wizard class). You would need to either own that book or have access to it through content sharing in a campaign.

No, if they're getting the option at level 2 and seeing School of Evocation, that's definitely 2014 Wizard. 2024 would be level 3 and is named Evoker.
