What I've done to try and get around that is to create a Homebrew Item based on the book item, and then added the relevant spells to the book item. Then, once you've added it to your characters inventory, it'll appear under the spell section down the bottom as an Item, and you can check the details of any ritual spells you've added to the item there.
Unfortunately it doesnt have the ability to add more rituals. But they also said this will be solved with the revamp of character sheet.
Im surprised they never solved this very very easy to fix problem.

I’ve made a Rogue variant human with the ritual caster feat, but there is no block to add or view spells on the character sheet.
I should have access to a spell list (specifically Wizard in this case) but I have nothing. No spell block at all.

I recreated the feat for my bard.
