I wanted to make a Goliath Barbarian for a one-shot I'm playing. They have to be level 20, so I selected Goliath Barbarian level 20 and then I received an +4 Ability Improvements without selecting any level given Ability Improvements and that puts me over 20. And to my knowledge, that's not possible in 5E. I am not a walking D&D rulebook, and previously I relied on dndbeyond to help me set up character according to rules, but I am a bit confused right now. Is this a bug or am I not up to date with D&D rules?
Added a link to a picture of how my stats look, but I haven't added any ability score improvements given to barbarian at the 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th and 19th levels.
